DESCRIPTION:
Wood shake and shingle roofs are distinctive because of their appearance
and they lend themselves to particular styles of architecture. Wood shingles
are smooth and uniformly shaped while most shakes have a rough uneven
texture. Shingles are 1/2" at the thick end tapering to hundredths of an
inch at the top, and shakes vary from 1/2 to 3/4" thick.
